Do you have aspirations to grow your business?
The Central Otago District Council has secured funding through New Zealand Trade and Enterprise for training for Central Otago businesses.
The funding is part of the Regional Business Partners Scheme and is available to help businesses with growth aspirations to gain training in areas such as business development, marketing, governance, financial management, lean manufacturing and exporting.
If you are GST registered, operating in a commercial environment and have fewer than 50 employees, then you qualify for a free business assessment under the scheme. This assessment is a valuable tool to understand the areas in which your business needs training.
Free Assessment
The assessment involves filling in a 15 minute online survey and then discussing the results with the Central Otago assessor. The assessor will develop an Action Plan which identifies capability gaps and suggests training opportunities, schemes and contacts that may be useful for your business.
Subsidised Training
Some businesses will then qualify for a 50% funding subsidy (up to $5000) to spend on building capability through training. Subsidised training is for owners and key staff in businesses showing growth and innovation potential. There is a broad range of courses and business coaching sessions available under the scheme.
If you have aspirations for growth for your business, take up this opportunity by contacting the Central Otago assessor, Tara Druce on Email or Phone 021 2166543
