Using the Brand
Central Otago community and business members are encouraged to use the brand in conjunction with their own business, community group, existing projects or in creating new events or activities. It is about living the brand through practicing the brand values and being a brand ambassador for New Zealand's Central Otago region.
There are rules in place for the Central Otago brand that must be adhered to. It is after all, in our best interests as a region to treat the brand consistently.
The Central Otago brand can be used on business cards, website, rack cards, promotional material in conjunction with other brands, businesses or group logos for example. It can be used on the sports field, for team uniforms, or to mark a special event - be it a flower show, food show or special convention.
Use the values as guiding values for your business or community group.
Brand Colours
There are a set of brand colours that reflect not only the natural colours, but the changing seasons, emphasising ‘A World of Difference’. Incorporating these colours into your material helps to help build a strong connection with this region.
Specific Fonts
The use of specific font styles is a major contributor to the brand’s visual and distinctive style. Three font styles have been chosen for there readability and flexibility of use. Trajan font is used for feature heading use only. Transit font is the primary font for all external communication and Arial is used for internal communications.
Photography
Getting the right visual imagery to bring a brand to life takes both time and money, however strong images can have a lasting impact. Ways that capture our distinctive landscape, the close up textures and people in their natural environments will all aid in the visual interpretation of A World of Difference.
Messages – The combination of carefully thought out messages through word and images instantly have impact. Simple statements and stunning graphics always highlight our unique set of circumstances.
