Customs, freight and freight forwarding

The New Zealand Customs Service administers New Zealand’s laws and regulations for entering and leaving the country. This service works in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) who administer biosecurity laws (what can and can’t be brought into the country). Both organizations have good reputations for assisting the smooth progress of productions.

New Zealand freight forwarding agents work closely with both New Zealand Customs and MAF and in conjunction with international freight forwarding agents to ensure that freight can be sent to or from any location in the world.

At this time Xtreme Forwarding NZ Ltd, based in Wellington, is the only freight forwarder providing film-specific internal and international freight services for significant films shot in New Zealand. They have a complete freight and courier management package, from daily rushes to equipment freighting, and import and export management.
