Clyde New Year`s Eve Street Party
Clyde New Year’s Eve Street Party
This is the place to be if you want to celebrate the New Year when holidaying in Alexandra and Clyde. Part of the main street in the historic village is closed off and the street is transformed into a family party venue with food, a bar and non alcoholic drinks available.
Promote Dunstan which organises the event, hires a top DJ for the evening and the music gets underway at 9p.m until 1 a.m. A large clock counts down the minutes to midnight and the New Year.
And there is a shuttle bus between Alexandra and Clyde.
However there are a few conditions:
People under the age of 18 won’t be admitted unless they’re with a responsible adult
Alcohol won’t be sold to underage people.
And if you are intoxicated you’ll be removed from the party
But the street party is a fun filled celebration with little or no trouble. It is a delight to see lots of kids there, dancing to the DJ’s music thoroughly enjoying themselves along with the rest of their families.
Cost: entry $2 per person, bus $2 per person each way
