Community development is the process of helping a community strengthen itself and develop towards its full potential.

Throughout Central Otago there are many community groups, organisations, individuals, businesses and government bodies working tirelessly to build thriving communities and a healthy environment while striving to maintain their own sense of uniqueness and identity.
