Heritage and Environment

There are a number of sources of funding available to support environmental and heritage projects, including those outlined below. The most appropriate source of funding will depend on the nature of your project and geographic location.

LOCAL FUNDING

Maniototo Community Board
The Maniototo Community Board has a promotions fund and within that fund, $5,000 per annum is earmarked for heritage projects within the Maniototo. The purpose of the fund is to help meet community needs/desires for events, facilities or activities that enhance experiences of locals and visitors.

To find out more about the fund and whether or not you are eligible, please email Alison Mason or phone (03) 440 0618.

REGIONAL FUNDING

Central Lakes Trust
One of the funding obejectives of Central Lakes Trust is to 'support projects and organisations that preserve and promote the physical and cultural heritage of our region and that protect and enhance the environment in which we live'.
