MANUHERIKIA CATCHMENT COMMUNITY PROPOSITION
The Manuherikia Catchment Community Proposition, which has been developed to build a consensus on rural water use in the Manuherikia and Ida Valleys, has been released.
The Community Proposition is the outcome of a community-wide consultation undertaken by the Manuherikia Catchment Water Strategy Group. It is described by the Strategy Group Chairman, Allan Kane, as a “touchstone” document or statement of intent for the development of rural water resources in the two Valleys that will be complementary to the legal and statutory requirements that any development proposals will have to comply with.
