Keynote speakers were Julian Smith from Brian Richards Ltd, John Dunn, Programme Manager for the New Zealand Cycle Trails, Tourism Central Otago, Otago Central Rail Trail Trust, Clutha Gold and Roxburgh Gorge Trails, CODC Planning and Environment and Neville Grubb from Trail Journeys.
Julian Smith is a director at BRR – a creative brand agency – leading the strategy team as a senior strategist. He has developed brands from both sides of the table – client as well as consultant. Before joining BRR in 2006, Julian was Global Marketing Director for Orca, where he oversaw the development of the iconic New Zealand sporting brand.
John Dunn is the Programme Manager for Nga Haerenga, the New Zealand Cycle Trail. Hi team has provided commercial advice on governance, marketing and promotion, to enable the Great Rides to capitalise on the substantial investment in their region. Central Otago has Three of the nineteen Great Rides.
