Domestic Growth Insights Tool (DGiT)

Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) have launched an exciting new online tool designed for tourism operators and Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs). It is free, practical and simple to use. It aims to accelerate growth in New Zealand’s domestic tourism sector and encourage Kiwi travellers to visit more regions year round.

DGiT will help you identify which Kiwi travellers to target, when they want to visit, their motivation for travel, what else they want to do and their preferred type of accommodation. DGiT will also suggest the best way to market to your target audience.

Backed by robust insight, including a survey of 6000 New Zealanders’ on their leisure travel habits, DGiT will become a vital resource. Before you start using DGiT, we recommend you watch the 5-minute video to find out how to get the most out of this new tool.

You will soon discover that DGiT is very easy to use with filters to help you find the right connections to reach YOUR customers. Domestic visitors are a key market for Central Otago so set some time aside to get to know DGiT!
