TCO Operator Workshop

Join us on Tuesday 30 May. We will review the season just gone, look at opportunities for the upcoming year and give an update on the tourism strategic review and what TCO’s been up to. We have secured an inspiring guest speaker on the subject of ‘using quality content to raise the profile of YOUR business.’

Guest Speaker

Kate Coughlan, Managing Director NZ Lifestyle Magazine group and owner of a Central Otago accommodation property will share her insights on the communication landscape. We will hear about what’s hot and what’s not, the Life & Leisure story, her guiding principles and values plus the top ten tips for raising the profile of your business.

Kate, a distinguished news and feature journalist established the successful NZ Life & Leisure magazine in 2005 before selling it to Fairfax two years later. She then set up her own hydroponic gourmet greens operation, at the same time remaining as editorial director at Fairfax. She also set up two brand extensions – Insiders Guide to NZ and In Your Backyard. In 2015 Kate established NZ Lifestyle Magazine group purchasing the NZ Life & Leisure title from Fairfax. She describes the group as ‘experts at creating content about living and travelling well in New Zealand.’

“Technology is speeding up people’s lives, so they need to slow down the pace a little and introduce more sensory touch points in their lives. …digital is an important area …. but the content must be the focus. Quality content attracts readers – whether on or offline.”
