Designed as a landmark destination for Cromwell, and Central Otago, this modern lakeside venue brings people together through performances, exhibitions, events and creative experiences.
The centre features a 400-seat theatre, flexible meeting and conference spaces, a 40-seat cinema, Te Huika Wai Cromwell Museum and Gallery areas, dance studio, café and bar, plus creative studios and community spaces. From live shows and film screenings to business events, workshops and celebrations, Te Puna Mahara offers a welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike.
