Marsh's Honey
Central Otago white clover honey from the valley orchards and tussock high country of the Teviot Region, New Zealand.
In 1934 Jimmy Hamilton had a swarm of bees on his property and asked Charlie Marsh to take them away and as a result a beekeeping business was established in the Teviot Valley, Central Otago. It is currently owned and operated by Russell and Trudie Marsh. The Marsh family constructed a honey house down Marsh Road and used to shift hives around on a sled behind a horse. If it was bumpy the bees got out and stung the horse, which then took off.
The Marsh’s Honey brand is well known for its white high country clover honey. It is also recognised for the long standing pollination services that the bees have provided on farms and orchards throughout the Teviot Valley. Our bees feed on nectar and honey only, which means naturally healthier bees and purer honey products.
