Central Otago District Council is re-launching Central Mahi, a campaign to help Central Otago employers attract and secure staff for the busy summer months when demand peaks.
Central Mahi is free for employers to take part in. It involves the promotion of roles to job seekers in the lower South Island via employer-created videos and support to help place potential employees into roles. This campaign aims to fill seasonal roles, attract individuals to undertake specific projects, or provide an opportunity for someone to experience your workplace and consider a permanent role in the industry. Last year, Central Mahi was promoted to local high schools, on tertiary campuses in Otago and Southland, to job seekers and digitally online, with over 5,000 people viewing the site.
The campaign's first step is to get employers signed up and videos created.
